However, it was revealed that the part of Nene that Zola managed to expel from her Shadow survived and ended up in a Cube World where Nene managed to regain his power in the form of an evil Killer Bat until he gave it up to save Himiko.

Killer Bat like the rest of the Shadows was later absorbed by the Egg of Light, two years after the Block World incident.

In the anime, Zola first received Killer Bat as a child after her father died in the temple dark power was sealed in collapsed. Through her sadness, Zola absorbed the dark power which manifested itself as an image of her inner self, the envoy of darkness, Killer Bat. Killer Bat expelled the good in Zola and Zola began her journey to reawaken the Darkness.

Like other shadows used by the protagonists Killer Bat is blue until released through Corporeal. Oddly enough, in Corporeal form it is far more ape-like than gargoyle like. In this form Killer Bat's fur is white, while his flesh is black and has two stubby legs and a monkey-like tail. {C {C In the anime, Killer Bat has two forms one is his normal purplish-blue form and the other is his black demonic form which is faster and stronger. Both are in contrast to it's game counterpart, unlike the other shadows whose color matches the original Shadow's Corporeal form.

In the anime Killer Bat is shown to have a much more powerful form, with dark black fur instead of his normal purple color.

PersonalityEdit

In the anime Shadows are given personalities, but Killer Bat remains silent until episode 50, when it is revealed that Killer Bat is only able to speak through harnessing the power of the Darkness, making him a False Shadow. He was created by the sadness and regret in Zola's heart following the tragic death of her father after the temple's collapse, and so he is a manifestation of her inner darkness.
